Calm Doon formed in 2011 and has steadily grown into one of Scotland’s top ceilidh bands.
Three blazing fiddles, driving guitar, funky bass and drums make up a high energy, high octane Celtic rock ceilidh band – we are Calm Doon. We play traditional ceilidh music (and accompanying dances), as well as upbeat rock, funk and reggae rhythms.
Since our first performance at the Gleidorf Music Festival in Germany we’ve been enjoying the thriving gig and ceilidh scene in Scotland, captivating audiences wherever we go.
We’re made up of individuals from many musical backgrounds – from punk to classical, folk to rock. We all share the same love of music – especially ceilidh.
